"Just the head itself" : Just when the head is visible, and nothing else. Sometimes the phrase "Head On A Stick" could be used in  its place. Sometimes I get a strong impulse to put my head on  the end of a stick and run it up and down my street terrorizing unsuspecting neighbors.
